Between work, school, activities, and screens, finding meaningful time together isn't always easy. You don't need an elaborate vacation or a perfect plan. Sometimes you just need a reason to step outside and do something together.
Reelin Family Fun creates fun, hands-on outdoor experiences that give people a reason to participate, explore, laugh, learn, and connect.
Fishing and nature are two of the tools we use to create those experiences. We also use outdoor games, challenges, wildlife, discovery, and stewardship to give families and groups different ways to enjoy the outdoors together.
Sometimes fishing is at the center. Sometimes nature takes the lead. Sometimes they're simply the starting point for something bigger.

OUR PASSION FOR THE OUTDOORS
60 years ago, my dad took me fishing for the very first time — and that simple moment sparked a lifelong love for fishing and the great outdoors. What started as a day on the water became a tradition that shaped our family, created countless memories, and connected us in ways nothing else could.
Over the years, I realized something important: those moments weren’t just about catching fish. They were about confidence, patience, laughter, early-morning sunrises, and the kind of connection you can’t get anywhere but outside together.
As fewer kids and families were getting those experiences, I felt called to share what shaped my own life.
That's why Reelin Family Fun exists, to help families and groups experience those same meaningful moments through fishing, nature, outdoor activities, and shared time outside.
We use fishing and nature to create fun, hands-on outdoor experiences that bring people together. Sometimes that means fishing. Sometimes it means games, challenges, wildlife, nature discovery, or stewardship.
Whatever the activity, the goal is to help people get outside, participate together, have fun, and create memories they'll want to talk about afterward.

It's what you experience together.

We turned a church block party into an activity event that included a Fishing Fun Zone families could enjoy together.
Reelin Family Fun created a hands-on experience that got kids casting, playing, catching, competing, and celebrating while parents joined in, cheered them on, and made memories with them.

Reelin Family Fun is led by Jeff Peterson, a licensed Indiana fishing guide with nearly 60 years of fishing experience beginning with childhood fishing and outdoor adventures alongside family.
Fishing has always been about more than catching fish.
It's about being outside, learning something new, trying something for the first time, laughing together, and creating memories.
Today, Jeff and the Reelin Family Fun team use that experience to create hands-on outdoor experiences built around the people taking part.

Catch — Fishing, casting, outdoor games, challenges, exploring, discovering, and trying something new. “Catch” can mean catching a fish, but it can also mean catching a moment worth remembering.

Protect — Care for our lakes, rivers, waterways, and natural spaces. Leave nature better than we found it, and help others enjoy the outdoors, too.
